Thamer is a Partner and Head of SASLO’s Dispute Resolution and International Arbitration Practice. He is also an active member of SASLO’s Corporate team.

With over 14 years of experience, Thamer specialises in a broad spectrum of legal practices, including arbitration, banking and finance, capital markets, restructuring, corporate governance, employment, mergers & acquisitions, real estate, and public-private partnerships (PPP). His expertise extends to the development, financing, and acquisition of significant projects within these sectors.

Thamer’s right of audience before Oman’s Primary and Appeals’ courts, as well as his frequent representation in local and international arbitral tribunals, reflects his extensive experience in dispute resolution. He is also sought after for his role as an Omani Law Expert in various commercial and infrastructure disputes.

In his advisory capacity, Thamer has a wealth of experience counselling sponsors, lenders—including Islamic banks and export credit agencies—and government institutions in Oman and beyond. His work spans the full gamut of the energy and infrastructure sectors, including power, oil and gas, water, wastewater, and other critical infrastructure projects.

Thamer is qualified to practice law in Oman. He is fluent in both Arabic and English.
