Thamer is an experienced Omani lawyer with over 14 years of experience of law and practice in arbitration, banking& finance, capital market, restructuring, corporate governance, employment, merger & acquisitions, real estate, and PPP.

In dispute resolution practice, Thamer has right of audience before the Primary and Appeals' court of Oman and continuously appears before local and international arbitral tribunals in both institutional and ad-hoc proceedings. His experience includes acting as an Omani Law Expert before international arbitral tribunals in various commercial and infrastructure disputes. He advises and represents a range of international, regional, and Omani clients in many legal aspects including, regulatory, commercial, construction, employment, banking and Islamic finance-related disputes.

In the non-contentious practice, Thamer has significant experience in advising on regulatory, corporate, real estate and banking & finance in complex projects and public-private partnerships in the power, oil and gas, water, waste-water and infrastructure sectors in the Sultanate of Oman, both from Clients’, Sponsors’ and Lenders’ end. He has extensive experience in dealing with Omani government agencies and other regulatory authorities.
