Adam is a Senior Associate in SASLO's Arbitration Team.
Adam is a senior associate at SASLO with a core focus on international arbitration and construction law. His practice encompasses both contentious and non-contentious matters, with a particular emphasis on complex infrastructure and energy projects across the Middle East and South Asia. Drawing on over a decade of experience, Adam regularly advises government entities, employers, EPC contractors, and developers on a wide range of legal and strategic issues arising at all stages of major projects.
In his disputes practice, Adam has acted as counsel in numerous high-value arbitrations under the rules of the ICC, LCIA, DIAC, and OAC. He has broad experience managing proceedings governed by both common and civil law systems, particularly those involving delay and disruption claims, extensions of time, payment disputes, contract termination, and defective works. He frequently works with programming and quantum experts, overseeing the preparation of submissions and coordinating evidentiary processes throughout the arbitration lifecycle.
On the non-contentious side, Adam advises on the drafting and negotiation of construction contracts, consultancy agreements, and subcontracts, often based on or derived from standard forms such as FIDIC. He routinely supports clients on live project issues including risk allocation, claims management, contract administration, and dispute avoidance. His dual capability in contentious and transactional construction gives him a unique perspective in advising on commercially viable solutions and preventing disputes before they arise.
Prior to joining SASLO, Adam practiced for several years at top-tier firms in Pakistan where he was recognised by Legal500 for his dispute resolution and insurance expertise. Here presented clients in arbitration and litigation across a diverse range of sectors, including infrastructure, utilities, insurance, and public-private partnerships.
Adam holds an LLB (Hons) from the University of London and an LLM in Financial Regulations and Compliance from BPP University. He was called to the Bar of England and Wales by Lincoln’s Inn. He is fluent in English and Urdu.
